The Unexpected....

So this isn't exactly what i had in mind for writing in my blog today.. our original plan was to go shopping in Walla Walla, WA... get taylor her big girl bed, me some scrapbooking stuff.. and just to go check out the stores and restraunts in Walla Walla, we were even set on havin lunch or dinner at applebee's. We just had a fun day planned... but as we all know unexpected things arise.

Last night, i gave taylor her usual bath, used all the same stuff, lotioned her up, put her in her cozy jammys, and kissed her goodnight... this morning.. Brian had taylor laid out on the floor ready to change her diaper, and he shows me her stomach... it was covered in what looked like lil bites... she had a trail all over the front of her body and a few on her legs and a few on her face. Im freakin out, not knowing what happend to taylor .... I thought maybe a mosquito or a spider was trapped in her jammys all night long... so we got ready to leave, and as we did it just got worse and worse.. soon her ear was swollen and her eye... and her entire body was just covered in blister like things, almost looked like welts... So we grabbed her, the diaper bag, and off to the Emergency room we went. They got her in right away, it took no time. She didn't like the nurse.. but she did like the doctor, he made her feel comfortable, it was pretty cute, he asked her what was in her right ear... birdies?? and then made birdie sounds.. and the same with her other ear, only this time kitties, and he meowed, it was pretty cute, he was good with her, she watched disney channel in her room, and after she took her meds, they brought her a yummy popsicle, gave her coloring sheets and crayons... it was the best emergency room experience i had ever had, and good thing cuz we were there for almost 3 hours. They told us that she definitely has hives, i beat my brains out trying to think if i did anything different, bathed her in?? fed her?? if i gave her something to drink??... i came up with nothing!...The doctor had said that they use to believe that hives came from something they ate or drank, but its been proven that it also comes from virus', so he called it a virual infection. The doctor kept us to see if the medicine works before they sent us all home, and the medicine did good, she fell asleep when we left, and she seems to be doing so much better today. She's takin 3 different meds daily, and she does not like them... i hate fighting her on it, i feel like such a mean mommy... but i know they will make her better. It was such a relief to know what was goin on, and what brian and i can do to make it better. Im so glad that we took her in. We went to Walmart got her medicines, daddy bought her a movie, and we got happy meals for dinner, and made ice cream sundaes. We took good care of her, and she is doin great today. She's playing and havin fun, a lil clingy, but who likes to take that gross medicine anyways. Im just glad to see my sweet lil girl back to normal. I just wanted to cry every time i looked at her yesterday, with markings all over her, and swelling... it was just sad, and i felt so helpless not being able to help her...

These pictures were taken after she took her meds, so as you can tell she looks better...
