Days with Jackson!! Proud big sister!!

the big question.... How does taylor do with new baby??/ she does awesome... she always wants to hold him, she gives him kisses, tells him lots of stories, reads books to him... she talks the poor kids head off!!... she is so helpful, and she just wants to do everything for baby jackson!

I love seeing her with him, cuz she is just so gentle and loving to him... =) makes us feel good!!.. although she still seems to think he is taylors baby!!...

and when he crys, she ask him whats the matter baby??.. and gives him a kiss and says its all better now... best big sister ever!! lets hope it stays that way.. she has yet to help us give him a bath, she already helps with the diaper changes!!... =)

wow did not realize exactly how far behind i really am on this blog, i have some major catchin up to do. luckily that time will be comin soon. I just need to pull myself away from the coupon mom blogs, and work on my own...lol.

well anyways.. one reason for this post... HE IS HERE!!!... Jackson Zander Brannam welcomed us on Wednesday July 29th @ 9:14am. He was 8 lbs 6 oz and 18 inches. Gorgeous perfect lil guy!!.. Unfortunately considering the circumstances, i only got to see him for about 2 seconds..

when we went in for our last doctor appointment on monday we found out that this lil guy wasn't goin to be able to come out on his own or naturally. Our plan was to get induced wednesday morning, and have him au natural.. no drugs no nothin.. much like his sister!!.. only thing was when the doctor checked my cervix she wasnt feeling nothin, so we to the ultrasound room to get a quick glimpse of his position... and low and behold wouldn't you know.. he was transverse again.. well her words exactly was oblique. his head was by my right rib, and his butt was on my left hip.. and there wasn't even fluid to push him down into head first... without the risk of his heartbeat slowing down to nothin... he wasn't breech, he wasn't anything.. that left us with one option and one options only... my biggest fear... c-section!!... my heart dropped, i couldn't even believe this was happening... perfectly healthy pregnancy, everything goin so good... but he was stuck.. poor lil guy's head was trapped between my hips and ribs....

so wednesday at 6 am brian and i drove to the hospital, to prep and get ready for my schedule c section.. i was starving, and scared out of my mind.. in no rush what so ever.. regretting every step closer to the operating room. can't even put into words how terrified i was...

my doctor was delivering a baby at the time of my c section, so we were un able to go in until 9am. Brian said it went so fast... i was shaking with fear as they rolled my bed into the operating room to get my spinal... ahhhhhhhhhh wondering the entire time.. where is brian, where is he?? why is he not in here??.. and they said that he couldn't come in until the prepping was done... spinal not so bad, at least not what i was expecting ... then everything started to go numb.. couldn't feel a thing.. so i started to panic, and i felt like i was goin to pass out.. the strangest thing is to be laying there wondering what the heck they are doin, you can't feel a thing, just that your body is being jerked around... and then all of a sudden you hear a baby cry.. instantly i was bawling my eyes out... and they said he was so perfect and such a beautiful baby boy, and held him across the room to show me... they did take my oxygen mask off so i could giv him a kiss.. and off he went.. and brian too!!!... it was over... crazy.. and the whole time, my doctors and nurses carried on an every day conversation... i think about blueberries... lol.

i think it was about 45 minutes later i was able to see my baby and husband... still couldn't feel a dang thing.. i even had a hard time holding my baby as my arms were pretty weak...
but i must say the whole thing wasn't as bad as i was expecting.. even the recovery has gone better than it did with taylor...

now im just sittin at my moms itchin to get out and about... tired of being cooped up in the house.. but i have the sweetest baby boy asleep on my chest... so curled up and snoozing away... he seriously is perfect... course all he really likes to is eat and eat and eat... he likes to sleep too... but mostly eat. lol. he is an awesome sleeper, sleeps really good thru the night... he has the punniest lil cry.. and he has the cutest sneezes... he's perfect!!..

Hard at work on Sunday!

We started Sunday morning, with delicous espresso drinks, french toast, hashbrowns, bacon... sooo delicous.. compliments of the loving hubby!!


Goal: Finish the birthday invites, put the picture and last minute touches one them, address envelopes and send them out on Monday!!!

So its sunday, and mom and coley decided to stay one more day, and leave early monday, as my sister had to work later that day!.. Good thing we are only 3 hours away! Although i never feel like doin anything the same day i travel.. Its just so exhausting. Anyways, I put my mom and sister to work for me, coley glued and did the finishing touches on the invites, and mom stuffed envelopes, i did the rest!!... We spent a good few hours doin this... but they all got done. And they are addressed and stamped and goin out in the mail on monday!!... Im so excited and it feels so good to get those out and about!!... Now i just wait for RSVPS and focus on the rest of the party. I must say everything is comin together quite smoothly this time around. I've got everything pretty much complete, of course i will have last minute stuff to do in the same week even the same day as her birthday! Basically all i have left to do is the food!!

Anyways without coleys help it would have taken me alot longer to get them all done myself... but here they are, they were alot of hard work, but so worth it in the end... they were alot of fun. And i know my friends and family will appreciate them =).



And we spent the rest of sunday playing wii!!... =) Our last night with mom and coley, and brian cant stay up too late he has to work in the morning...

Best Weekend Ever!!!... sunshine, family & great food.

Taybugz and I had an awesome Saturday together!!.. We got up and got ready, made a yummy strawberry cheesecake, and spent the rest of the day outside.

The sun felt so good, and it was so warm. Taylor ran around and played, and I sat on the blanket and enjoyed the sunshine!!




We fixed ourselves a lil picnic. made sandwhiches, grabbed some chips, grapes, and fruit snacks... =) so much fun. Just excites me for more sunshine filled days!



To our surprise Brian got home early, which is always great when he has to work on saturdays... He changed out of uniform, and came to spend the rest of the day with us outside. We were awaiting Mom and coley's arrival. I was hopin they were goin to make it in time for our picnic, but i was gettin so hungry i just couldn't wait. Besides Taylor got to spend some good quality time with her daddy. =) I love those two together they are just too cute, and they always bring the biggest smile to my face!!


After playing long and hard, Taylor and Daddy sat down and chilled out with a swirly popsicle... she really enjoyed that!






Mom and coley finally arrived and we all sat out side and chatted a bit, caught up, Taylor got to play with coley for a little while.



Brian was gettin the BBQ ready.. he makes the best BBQ bacon cheeseburgers... mmmm... im not even kidding.. they are so yummy!!... lookin forward to more of that when the warm weather is here to stay!

It wasn't until after we came inside the house, that i realized i got a really bad sunburn from my knees down to my ankles... lol. I was wearing capris.. and man was i burnt. I didn't realize we were out in the sun for as long as we were, and I really didn't realize that i was baking my shines..and calves. Thats goin to stay awhile!..

And this today would be my 24 weeks... Gettin closer to meet our lil studd muffin! I still can't believe we are having a baby boy! =)

Could it be... is it Spring??

I had the stupid stomach flu the last few days..which always gets in the way of things.. Taylor is feeling much much better. What a beautiful week have been having, the sun is shining and its warm out, im starting to think that spring is coming!! I've just been cleaning house, gettin ready for company, we got to spend alot of time outside! Mom and coley came into town on the 16th, but they went straight to my aunt debs. Im so jealous that I don't get to go. One of the funniest things ever is gettin all of us together up at my aunt debs =) Sometimes i feel left out when they go without me, and I know i have my own family now days, so it just gets crowded if i was to go when they went... and my family just keeps on growing.. =) Anyways.. I took taylor outside pretty much all day on Thursday we snapped a couple of pictures of her playing and being herself. My goal was to get her dressed up in her tinkerbell costume and try to take pictures myself for her invites.. the only thing holding me up on sending out her birthday invites are those dang pictures!!.. but of course she really didn't want to put on the costume, she just wanted to go outside and play, so i didn't make her. But i did get some pretty cute pictures.. and they really do capture her personality...lol. Besides she is wearing tinkerbell sunglasses, couldn't get her to take them off. lol.

Well mom and coley are suppose to be comin to stay with us on Saturday! Bummer we only get them for one day, but oh well. Even though I go to idaho all the time, and stay a week here and there at my moms, its just different from when they come to visit us here!!.. So Im excited to see them Saturday, Brian is goin to BBQ! Yum!!.. and taylor and I are goin to make a yummy strawberry cheesecake!!

So we are leaving today, goin home, yippy!! something i always look forward too, besides the trip there...

Taylor's Easter went well, we didn't really do to much. i really wanted to take her to an easter egg hunt at a park or something, but had no clue when one was goin on, and by the time i found out, it was too late, they were all over hopefully I will be able to plan ahead next year. Easter kind of snuck up on me this time. The weather wasn't great, so we had a lil egg hunt in the house, and i didn't even have to tell her what to do, she was sittin in her highchair eating breakfast, and spotted one... when she was done, she found them one right after another, i had to keep tellin her that there was more, and she got a special easter basket left at the door from the easter bunny =), she was pretty stoked about that. But that is all that we really did. it was still fun!!
